It's a nice summer night and you're walking home or wherever on a typical big city street after being on your feet at a club all night. Your high-heeled shoes are killing your feet and you can't take it anymore. You could take off your shoes, walk barefoot on the concrete and risk stepping on something sharp or icky but a guy who sees your distress offers to carry you. The catch is that you don't know the guy. I won't say he's a handsome prince but he's average or better, doesn't smell bad, doesn't seem creepy and appears to be physically capable of carrying you. Which option would you take?

Remember you're in the city late at night. Stores are closed. There are a lot of other people like you out in front of the bars and clubs up and down the street so it's not desolate.

Easy one, I have been barefoot by choice for almost eleven years and I don't intend to ever wear shoes again (heels or flats or any kind). I am not afraid at all to step on something sharp; my feet are tough as leather and I visit the recycling center barefoot too. I've even stopped my bicycle and carried it (barefoot) over the worst of the mess when there were broken bottles on the bike trail. In all those years I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year, and I have NEVER had a cut. Nor have I ever stepped on something that couldn't be washed off with soap, water and a scrub brush. Feet are far stronger than most people who always go shod would believe!

High heels I have never worn, even in the 29 years when I still wore shoes, nor would I ever let myself be carried by a stranger. I may be a woman, I'm not fragile.

It all depends on how far I have to go

Gotta admit I'd be kind of curious to find out what it would be like to be carried. If it was a short distance like across the road then maybe.

Probably a better chance of me walking in bare feet, but then yeah broken glass or a needle stick to the foot would not be so good either.

If it was light enough with street lights I could see the ground then I'd go barefoot

If it was dark then i'd probably let him carry me and hope I don't have to put my black belt tae-kwon do mode into action. Then he'd be the one needing to be carried.

Hard one- Being that I am completely and totally and independant, I would probably walk barefoot. Just because I can do it myself. Or most likely I would just take it, walk in the shoes, and soak them when I get home. Or, I would walk into the local Wal-mart and buy me some cheap-o flip flops! The offer might be tempting however... especially if he looked physically capable of carrying ME! But, as I'm married, I'd probably just make him do it =)!

I would get the stranger to carry me! Hell yeah! The likelihood of me accepting would also probably increase ten fold if I were drunk!

I may be stupid, but I would have to decline and walk.
