Well because you gotta find the right balance in thinking about your self image, you don't need to feel like you are the most hideous being on earth because your not, but you don't want to think your the most prettiest girl in the world either. You just need to realise that you look good in your own way and so does everyone else, try not to look to much in the mirror if you can help it and make yourself look 'presentable' but not go over the top, in thinking looking good is the most important thing in the world.

absolutely, look at my 360 photo have you ever seen a model like me. I think the bigger problem is Who is supporting the media? Us, we people are the ones that buy the magazines etc... so by supporting them we are saying it is okay to make up feel ugly or not comfortable in our bodies. We are the media, We make the decisions.

It doesn't make me feel unpretty, but very smart. I don't feel like I have to make myself a slave of fashion and general stupidity. Everyday they seem to make the image of America to be a bunch of fools that can't keep their noses clean.

With the people that the media wants me to believe are pretty, I know I look about a thousand times better than most of them.

So, no, not a bit.

Sometimes yes... But we really need to stop and think of what is done to those photos of the celebs and models that make them look as flawless as they do. When the celebs have no make up on or are candid they look no better than you or I.

hellll yessssss.
its awful. im sixteen and i can contribute almost every piece of self-loathing iv had to seeing pictures of (digitally maniupulated) gorgeous women in magazines and on tv. reading ads about how to tone up and the best tans. the list could go on and on.
even when you know their probably digitally manipulated and are wearing stacks of make up and are affected by lighting, when theres so much of it around it still affects you so badly.

The media sucks. All those women are fake fake fake.
Yes at times but I stop to think how fake they are.
But its sad how they want us all to believe that what
they advertise is real beauty and sexy.

No....I don't fall prey to the stereotype they want us to buy...nor the fashion they attempt to shove down our throats by bombardment. I feel sorry for our teenagers....they get so caught up in the "image" they see on T.V.

Not in the least. While I recognize that I may not be the world's definition of beauty I am beautiful in my own way.
