I've enjoyed some of them, others were pretty crappy.

Dean Koontz wrote a book (I cannot remember the title) with what I call the BEST WORST FIRST LINE EVER.
"The hard, cold rain nailed the night to the city."
Man, you have to respect trash like that!!!!

I have only read one. I was very disappointed because I knew the minute he named the character that he was the one who was going to be the bad guy. He should not have given it away like that - it completely ruined it for me. Knowing the outcome before you're more than a few pages in makes the conclusion a non-event. The book wasn't that good, either. False Memory, I think it was called.

I've read most of his work and although he may not be the most technical writer around, he spins a decent tale.
