None. The money I would have spent goes to Oxfam on a monthly standing order. I've been doing this for ten years.

I only sent them to people I don't see regularly, relatives abroad etc. I really thought the warnings about the environment were getting through but reading your answers clearly not! Sending E Cards uses lots of unnecessary energy, and posting Christmas cards is a huge waste of resources!! From the trees to the petrol used to deliver them!!

If everyone in the world sent 3 less greetings cards we could save an equivalent amount of energy used by a million cars!! I think that is worth striving for!

Merry Christmas everyone!

80 plus I think it came to in the end!

BUT we don't see people so this time of year I use it as a way to keep in touch with folk so it's a good opportunity.
We have family and friends all over the country and we go abroad for Xmas so sending cards is quite important to me!
The stamps cost more to post them AND the price is going up to 34p in April!

I mailed out 53 cards this year. Time got away from me and I had to cut my list in half and actually buy them this year. I usually make them and mail them out the Monday after Thanksgiving.

btw j.pee - 140 huh - i hope you didn't send most of them just for the sake of xmas and being nice/friendly. last thing i'd wanna do is give someone a card who doesn't deserve one
