A line which bisects a right angle will provide two 45 degree angles. The two lines are at an angle of 45 degrees to each other. When the hour hand shows 3 and the minute hand of a clock shows between 7 and 8 minutes, you have a 45 degree angle between the two hands.

I have never seen where anyone ever said that the hoof has to be at a 45 degree angle. I've seen pig headed, you must have this ratio of toe to heel trims, but never 'The hoof must be this angle'
