Only if you're asking to really gain knowledge.. not to hear what you believe to be the truth. If you are curious, ask, listen and really think about the answers and then apply these somehow to your life or understanding then I think that makes you open-minded and interested in the things around you.

At least you're taking the time for something when you ask about it. It's easy to not take the time for things, so I think at least in the sense that you are giving your observation to something you become more open and interested in it.

and make you uncomfortable Only doubts can be clarifited
