I believe that Walmart is the most hated among large corporations, and its for VERY GOOD REASONS!

1) They claim to give low prices, so people can live better. The truth is that low wages means the government has to pay welfare, which comes out of middle class America's pockets.

2) They treat their workers very bad. Here's one story of many I've read. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119551952474798582.html?mod=hpp_us_pageone

3) They are taking advantage of Mexicans. They're driving the farmers to sell their property, to large companies, by making their prices so low. (Primarily corn farmers) And once farmers are out in a particular region prices go up.

4) They have no concern to historic landmarks. They built a store on one of the worlds most ancient and mysterious cities. Teotihuacan, in central Mexico. There's reason's to believe that Walmart even paid off politicians to have that store built.

5) Just like any Monopoly, they drive their prices low, to knock out competition then drive them up.

I can relate with Sprint/Nextel because they have to have the worst customer relations in the telecommunications industry. The corporation I really hate, though, is Microsoft; but I respect them. Microsoft is the first corporation of it's kind to create a system that is almost impossible to defeat. For instance: the *.exe file extension only opens in Windows. This file extension, up until very recent was the only way programmers would release their programs making Windows a necessity as much as a Philips screwdriver for Philips heads. Microsoft has become the English language of computers (quoting the CEO of Sun Microsystems). To change operating systems for most of us would be learning a new language. Fortunately, Macs are becoming increasingly more popular which uses a Unix based OS. In turn, Linux compatible software is showing up more and more and Microsoft is slowly losing their power over computer users.

Walmart. They come into a tiny town and take over. It's their way or the highway. they treat their workers badly and jack up the prices after their initial few months of opening. they bring in scores of high level management from every other area except they one they just moved into. The community becomes overrun with renters. The garbage multiplies. the commercials are relentless. Why don't they just call it Chinamart?.

Yes! Any frustrating and bad experience leaves long memories! I only have two corporations-Ford and Maytag.
Brand new expensive purchases we made to them just to find out neither will stand behind their product, and they do not believe in having happy customers. There are long unbelievable stories of our problems with both companies, but you get the idea, and we will never buy anything they make again!
