On Wed. Bush signed an energy bill that would boost biofuel production and raise vehicle fuel economy standards by 40%. This should save more than 4 million barrels of oil per day by 2030. Sounds good? What's the catch? Well by agreeing to this bill the promise that (his buddies) oil companies such as Exxon Mobil, BP, and Conoco Phillips will not have their taxes increased. Once again the agenda is to help serve his interests in letting the oil companies get richer. What are your feelings about this deal?

Jeepers- My question states as companies SUCH AS Exxon Mobil, BP,and Conoco Phillips. This lack of tax increase helps oil companies in general. As far as why it helps him his family has been involved in the oil industry for years. The ties are strong. His campaign has received ENORMOUS donations from oil companies. Now to answer, his involvement in working in the oil industry. In 1986 he chaired Spectrum 7 which also had dealings with Enron Oil & Gas (which he does not recall) and records from the 80's have mysteriously been destoyed. Well, his Spectrum 7 company was facing financial problems (imagine that) and was later bailed out by Harken Oil. Cheney also was the CEO of Haliburton in the late 90's.

Koal- No, I was not under the influence asking this question. I suggest you research the facts before you embarrass yourself here. I understand many neoconservatives such as yourself are paranoid and delusional. Here is the source of the info:

Next time do your homework before wasting my time.

My reaction? No surprise! If he didn't help his old boys in the oil industry, I'd be shocked that he would do something honest.

Let's face it, he will continue to do what he has always done, whatever is wrong, unethical, self-serving, scratching someone back, etc., etc. He sees nothing wrong with what he does, that's the scary thing!

So, when we finally see his sorry butt leave the White House, it will go down in history (because I will make sure I tell students) what he did. I feel he was one of the worst of the worst and anyone that is not aware of that has been living in a cellar somewhere.

Let's hope that good prevails this election since the last two evil obviously did.

Just why are Exxon, Mobil, BP etc Bush's buddies ??

Has Bush ever had any interaction with any of those companies ??

Ive read Bush's bio and I can't find where Bush ever worked for or with any of them.

And how is in Bush's interest to help the oil companies ??

Sounds like typical Washington. Never do something that the other party wants unless you get something in return. That's their version of "compromising". That's why I want to go as far away from politics as usual as a candidate polling in the double digits will allow.

my feelings are you ought to quit drinking before you post or whatever it is thats affecting your thinking. THIS CONGRESS IS CONTROLLED AND MANIPULATED BY LIBERALS....AND ANY FINANACE OR TAX BILL EITHER IS ORIGINATED OR APPROVED BY THE PELOSI/REID REGIME...as a result nothing is..."bushs bill" its all liberal pap and usually loaded with pork or other vote buying favors.

check your facts next time.

your question has no answer as your premise is skewed.
