yes there are several ways to do so, the easiest one to do so is install free remote softwares(vnc viewer) in both machines and use file transfer its fast and secure besides vnc also has option to remote control pc and it works both on local lan and internet

I agree, there are several ways. If it we me then I would throw it on a floppy and transfer that way. This may take longer but it is easily explained and asure shot.
