There is a sledding hill in Amesbury, right off I495. Very close to where I495 intersects with I95.

They have lifts to haul you up the hill.

No skiing though.

If you are looking for local mountains to ski - Blue Hills and Nashoba are close and inexpensive but also very tiny.

Southern NH is only about 1.25 hours, and the best mountains are Sunapee or Ragged. Much better than the local "hills".

Mt Wachusett is easily the best hill near Boston. next is probably Nashoba, but it is very small

appropriate North Slopes is the place we continuously bypass. they have snowboarding, sledding, and snowboarding plus a expert save, snack save, and training for novices. it is approximately ninety minutes from Indianapolis.
