Do you think car pool system in Bombay city will work? Some 10 years ago it used to take 25 to 30 min to travel a distance 10 km as compared to now which takes 45 min to 1 hour. The local authorities though think to make Bombay an Indian Shanghai, but it doens't looks like happening in the next 20 years. Traveling by car in Bombay is becoming a nightmare!! Best replies will certainly be voted positively.

it should happen.. but people hardly co-operate, although it does exist in some pockets of the city, esp among people working in the same company

Bombay Roads are not wide enough to make provision for car pool lane and as such with the present road condition, it will not be possible to have car pool system in Mumbai.
