one good thing about getting older is we become our own selves. we build our morals and our likings.. we find ourselves more interesting than other people because what matters to us is us.. we all care about ourselves more then others (unless were referring to our kids but in this case, we are not) as humans we will care about the opinions of others only if their beliefs coincide with the beliefs of our own. if someone cares about something that u dont, then why should u care? what makes us different as indivduals is what we care about. that is why we find our own self more interesting than others. bcuz we could care less about those who dont think the same care about, to be blunt.

I'm 66 and one thing which I do like about getting older is that I no longer have to prove that I'm a man.

In my mad youth I joined the Army at age 15. Did lots of sport including rock climbing etc.

Don't even want to think about doing any of that now.

A stroll to my supermarket, a mere mile away, is adventure enough.

Oh yeah! One other thing. I worked as a telegrapher most of my adult life and I can still out-type most people when it comes to speed and accuracy. So, I'm still good at something then!

"One of the good things about getting older is..."?

That your intelligence and wisdom finally catch up with your libido in terms of voting rights for what you do with your body.

Re Lee Marvin. I've always been interesting. So most likely have you. Own it.

Might be true for Lee Marvin. There are some old idiots too though.
It reminds me of people who say: 'Travel broadens the mind'. I say: You can travel the world, but if you're a fool, you'll remain that way.

I think that most older people are quite interesting. They lived through a lot of history that we can only read or hear about. They have knowledge of many decades, and many presidents.

I find the vast majority of "older people" to be idiots with no common sense. I'm 17, about to hit the world, and all I see is a bunch of winy b*tches sueing eachother because someone "offended" them or "excluded" their race/religion/whatever.

I'm scared to death that i might turn into that.

You spend less time worrying about how you look to others, and focus on what you say to others.
