He's my favorite novel. My favorite book of all time was The Stand. It was a very powerful book with religious undercurrents and it had an excellent ending. Stu Redman from The Stand was my favorite male King character. He was the hero of The Stand. Rose Madder was my heroine. Rose Madder is another powerful book that should be read. I've read all of his works.

I would say you can watch the movie of the same equivalence, and it can make you dwell on evil things just as well.We live in a pretty evil world and see a lot of bad so, why Stephen King novels would be the only problem I don't know.See what I mean.I would say pray about everything and the Holy Spirit will tell you if you are on the wrong spiritual plateau.I am not a Nun or a Holy roller.I live life accordingly.Ask God's forgiveness and test the waters. If I feel extremely bad about something I let it go right out of my life for good.I read my Bible and I don't care for mind controlling horror books or flicks...

Christine
Cujo
The Night Shift
The Dark Half
Dark Tower: The Gunslinger

There are more, but I can't recall the names.
In The Green Mile, I like Coffey, and Michael Clark Duncan made the Character so convincing!
Mr Jingles was too cute!

I read practically all of his novels, may have missed out one one or two...
Any way, I like The Stand the best, after that the Dark Tower series and Salem's Lot.
Some of his books are sub par by his standard, but I reckon he has never written a bad book.

Back when he first started his career, his books were terrifying and I thought a lot more interesting. Lately, though, the ones that I've read have been a bit ponderous and it takes several chapters before I can get "into" the characters. My favorites have been "It", "The Shining","Cujo","Christine","Carrie","The Stand" and "Green Mile".
My favorite character is Jack Torrance and no one could have done a better job than Nicholson because that movie is SCAREEEE.

Can't stand him. As far as I'm concerned he only wrote two good books: Salem's Lot and Gerald's Game. Don't know why I read so many of them since I can't stand him. I loved Salem's Lot and it was the first book I read by him. After that they just kept getting worse and worse, but I live an alternative lifestyle and somebody told me about Gerald's Game so I bought it and read it for that reason alone--and it's very, very true, so I sort of wonder if he lives the same kind of alternative lifestyle that I do! i've long believed that he is the reincarnation of Edgar Allen Poe!!!

I loved "Four Past Midnight" and my favorite book was "The Dark Half" very scary. I hated "IT" because I was young when I read it and the movie scared the hell out of me. He's a great writer.

I liked some of them. The stand was excellent and so was the green mile. Dark Tower series too but I was disappointed with how he wrapped it up starting with the last 2 books.
