How do I transfer my pictures from my desktop to my new laptop? Ive been told by a USB plug but how's that work exactly?

If they are on the same network,
Start> Programs > Accessories > Toos
Files and settings transfer wizard

That will suck all your My Docs and any other settings you choose over.

I recommend copying what you want to transfer to a CD and then download from the CD to your desktop. It's quick and easy and you don't have to fiddle around with USBs. And added feature is that you have a backup on the CD .

you can use a cross over ethernet cable, or burn to a cd and do it that way, the latter being the more teadious,or if there is a router in network you should be able to use the local area network
