Is this about me posting a serious Q in its proper category? I know - I'm disappointed too.

It depends on the level of perceived offensiveness. I may roll my eyes and skip the Q, or break them off an email asking what was up. I hope not to be in that position, but if someone was a wacko I'd block them.

If it really offended me, I just wouldn't answer it. Whether or not I would speak to the contact about it would depend on how well I knew him or her.

I don't know who my contacts are, they just think I am smart and want me to know answers to questions they post. So if I'm offended I honestly don't care.

Send them a message letting them know the question offended me, and if their response was not satisfactory to me, I'd remove them from my contact list.

i might make something up and consult from the host later; i'v been around adequate religious human beings to appreciate what might fly lack of awareness does no longer equivalent insult, and should no longer galvanize embarrassment

I would email them for clarification if they were what I considered a friend.
I did tell one that is not close to me yesterday in my answer to them that they were welcome to remove me from thier contact list..that's just how I roll sweety
