God is awsome. I've been advantaged to be born and raised in Christianity, yet I took it for advantage and overlooked all of my blessings so I am also seeking out God as well. He fullfills a part in me that no one else can fulfill. Buy a New King James Version Bible and read it. It will change your life if you accept God into your heart.
I want to help you an answer any question you have about God. i can't do so right now because your question is so broad that I don't know where to begin. All I can really tell you is that once you find God and get to know him, you'll love him and you'll experience true joy in your life.
Please if i can help in any way possible contact me and I'll be more than glad to do so. My email is sweetina03@yahoo.com
I attend Bible Study every Monday night, that you're more than welcome to come to, and I go to church every sunday morning, and a servants prep class after church every sunday. Feel free to ask me anything!
God bless.

Well, God is this really enormous guy. He is so big that if actually saw him you'd swear he was some kind of Japanese Kaiju, I mean this dude is Godzilla big. The one catch is he's also totally invisible -- he doesn't show up on radar, you can't smell him or hear him -- how anybody ever learned about him is a mystery to me. (Actually, there is an invisible Kaiju called King Ghidorah. But he's not God, because this critter occasionally pops into view, which God never does.) I mean, if I was just wandering around one day and decided that a huge invisible guy was in charge of everything I think it would be fair to expect some skepticism. But no, in some quarters if you dare to wonder about this God person they'll kill you seriously dead.
God is also different from your average movie monster in that he has superpowers that even Stan Lee would be embarrassed to invent.
Lately I've learned that one of the world's oldest pieces of literature is about God, but I don't advise reading it -- God wins every fight and the outcome is never in doubt -- boring really. Whoever wrote the Bible (that's what the book is called) evidently didn't realize that when your hero has got unlimited superpowers it tends to dampen the dramatic tension somewhat.
If you're still interested in going to Heaven, take I-15 northwest out of LA heading for Nevada. Get off at Exit 42B.
PS
Back in the 1940s there was this comic book publishing house that decided to rip off the Superman franchise with their own high-powered superdude called Captain Marvel (geez, what a lame character name). Captain marvel could do everything Superman could do -- fly, bend steel, see through walls, the whole bit -- he wore tights (red instead of blue) and a cape. The owners of the Superman character got a bit miffed about the ripoff and sued the crap outa the Captain Marvel ownership, getting a big judgment in the end. Which is why you don't see any movies about Captain Marvel. Well, the point is, the same thing happened to the God character!
About a thousand years after the first God adventure appeared in print (God No. 1 "The Pharaoh's Curse") somebody over in Arabia started a character called Allah, who is EXACTLY the same as God -- the same superpowers, the same origin story, the same secret headquarters -- everything's identical except the name and the sidekick. (God has Moses, Allah's has this guy called Mohammad.) There's some real potential for some serious legal fireworks here, if you ask me.
Actually, if you did ask me, I'd say let's merge the characters and split the profits. Use the God persona, because he is the original and his name sounds better -- GOD! -- sounds like a thunderbolt doesn't it? Allah sounds kinda gay to me, it's a better name for a superchick. So we use God, but we pair him with Mohammad for a sidekick; he's a lot edgier than Moses. Mohammad will go seriously ballistic sometimes, like the Incredible Hulk.

I don't want to get into politics, and there is way too much of that in religion, I think.
If you feel that He has touched you already, you've probably made a good start.
So, get yourself a Bible, and get the yellow pages from your phone book and pick out a church for Sunday. Then if you like it, you can keep going, if you don't, then try a new church next Sunday. There's often a Sunday School for adults in many churches, and that's a good way to get to know the parishioners, and you'll find answers to your questions as well.
I had doubts when I was in college, mostly after losing my Mom at 16, but for most of my 53 years I've been a Christian, and I still have questions. Everybody is still learning, some are at different levels.
Jesus said that the basic belief in His message was to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and love thy neighbor as thyself".
A real simple answer to a real complex question.
Find the church that works for you and you'll do fine.

You wrote that in a really sweet way! Look, I would be more concerned with pleasing God than entering Heaven. Well, doing so would lead you there, anyway! I am not very advanced spiritually, so I can't guide you through it very well, but I'd say pray and love very much and you'll be on your way to it. That's all He asks, simply listen and love Him and His son, Jesus with all your heart and then you'll be able to love your fellow man in the most perfect way. God is the source of all that is good. He makes sure you don't get left behind in this crazy world if you are faithful and will always love you no matter what.

Don't mean to bag on you, but, first things first: spell check
H-E-A-V-E-N; Heaven!
Now that we've cleared all that up I will tell you how to get to Heaven.
Three things you must do to accomplish this;
(1) Admit that you are a sinner in need of a saviour.
(2) Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins.
(3) Confess with all your heart that Jesus is the LORD.
Pray this prayer; "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner in need of a saviour. Please come into my heart, LORD Jesus, and forgive me of all of my sins this day forward. I ask now that you create within me a clean heart LORD, I thank you LORD for dying on a cross and washing away my sins so that I may become a child of God
In your precious name I pray. . . Amen!
Now, if you prayed that prayer, and you are sincere about it, you are now a child of God almighty. Now, here are some nuts-n-bolts on what you better do.
(1) Get yourself a Bible, preferably a King James, or New King James, and read it daily so you can get to know God better.
(2) Talk to God on a daily basis through prayer. Remember, prayer is your way to comunicate with God, through the name
of Jesus.
(3) Find a Church where the Bible is tought as the final authority.
(4) Fellowship, and pray with fellow believers in Christ our LORD.
(5) Share the good news Gods saving grace through his son, the LORD Jesus Christ, with others as well!
I'll pray for you. I encourage other believers as well, to do the same.

In the show South Park they said that only Mormons made it to heaven.. I guess next time you see those guys in white shirts and ties walking around giving out books you should ask if they are mormon and if they are then follow them to heaven.
