Has anyone been overseas, Europe, Mid-East, Asia, or South America and know what Mcdonald's has on their menu. Like do they serve rice in the far east and pasta in Italy?

When I was in Beijing in the late 90's the menu was exactly the same. One thing that was different was that every item including combos was included on a picture card next to the register so that you could simply point at what you desired if you did not speak Mandarin, or rather the People's Popular Dialect.

They don't have all of the same things in Japan, the menu is the same in general but there are some difference here and there. For one, french fries are called Fried Potatoes, but they taste practically the same, a little less greasy than America. I havent ever seen rice on the menu. You can however get things like squid and shrimp burgers, and every once in awhile they have a special burger (like recently they just had a 'Tsukimi' or 'moon viewing' Burger, that had a big chunk of egg and cheese on top of it). I think in general you will find that most things are the same in other countries except for the sizes. In Japan (and I believe most other countries) A large is much closer to a size medium in America. But they still have things like the quarter pounder, the big mac and they still have a fillet-o-chicken, but in addition there are specialties depending on the location.

You may not believe this, but in Germany, McDonald's serves McBeer! No joke! In Asia, Ronald McDonald has been replaced with a really attractive(large-chested)woman. No clownin over there! The franchisers from this country don't really care what their foreign franchisees do because it won't really affect their business here. They do, in fact, serve food to match the particular demographic of the particular area. WEIRD!

Not only is it not economically possible to get all the meat from one specific location. Other countries have different laws pertaining to their meat. McDonald's in Dubai has to adhere to their 'halal' laws. (kosher) All meat sold in the Middle East is kosher because they are Muslim countries. I have to say man... that was a very narrow minded question you asked. You can't be this ignorant. Life doesn't indulge fools.

They basically serve the same mucous everywhere with a few variations. They don't serve much beef in India, they serve a crispy thing sandwich made with rice in Singapore and had it for a while in Hong Kong - but htey odn't have quarter pounders in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Also in China and Hong Kong they have hot corn.

Mostly they serve the same thing as in the US - burgers and fries. Some do have local variations for local customs - for example, in Germany McDonald's sells beer, and in India they usually don't have beef burgers. You'd need to ask someone in your destination country to find out what they have in a particular place.

When I went to Tokyo, the menu has more seafood...though I can't remember any names. I am not in a foreign country, but here in Hawaii, we have taro and haupia pie right next to the original apple pie. Ha...and a lot of spam and rice on the breakfast menu.

I went to McDonalds in Marrakesh in Morrocco and they didn't have much variety. Just the basics like Cheeseburgers, Big Macs and fries. The staff however were so proud to be working there, especially in their uniforms. Outside there were all these young teenage boys who wanted to come in but were not allowed because they couldn't afford it. They watched us through the window chowing down. I felt really guilty.

i went to a McDonalds in portugal and they have most of the same stuff, they had a few different sandwiches but they had the main ones too and happy meals. but i haven't been to all the McDonalds in America, I'm sure they all serve different things too. I work at McDonalds in my town so that's the only one I'm comparing the one in Portugal to.
