Different! I live in a diverse community. My elder friend that I have been so concerned with lately is African American. She has mid stage alzheimers and is so funny. I take her shopping and though she is wealthy she tell me don't purchase that expensive brand of cleaning products--we black don't do that. For awhile I've been smiling thinking she forgets I am not black. Now that is cool!

No, here in the States my 3 closest friends are all different races.
White, Hispanic and Native.
Back home in Europe RACE doesn't seem too much of an issue as here..., so unless the origin is really apparent, people don't even know..., ..care, ...bother about anyones Ethnicity.
Therefore, I don't know what my friends back home decent from.
Maybe I'll ask sometime if I don't have nothing more important to talk about.

All of my friends are the same race. There is only one race. The human race. There are several different nationalities different people belong to and I consider those people to be my friends too. Often, or even most of the time, people get 'race' mixed up with nationalities. The human race is the only 'race' on this planet. Most people have destroyed the meaning of the word to include peoples who are different colors and/or beliefs, but that does not change the fact of there only being one race. If we had aliens from other planets living here, then we would have people from different races involved. As far as I am concerned everyone is of the same 'race' and you are all my friends.

I have friends of all races actually. My last man friend was of a different race. I have dated men of a few different races as well as my race. I have girlfriends of every race imaginable, including of course my own. It was never an issue for me. My children were raised the same....color blind. My little one year old great-grandson is of mixed race. Se la vi
What a good question. I think you ask great questions. I don't remember ever seeing a single one of yours that wasn't right on.

I don't have any friends now, but I've only had a couple friends the same race as me. My former best friend wasn't, and my roomates who later become good friends were half the same race as me, and my ex "gf" (not really a gf) wasn't the same race as me. Oh, and I have a Yemenite friend in Texas, so no.
I've gotten attached to girls I've kissed, none the same race as me, so I'll probably be looking for girls like them for the rest of my life.

Yes and no. My closet friends are of Irish decent which I am 1/2 of and also I have close friends that are 1/2 Native American which I am only 1/8. I have close black friends too. My son-in-law is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Pareto Ric-an. Does it really matter? And why do you ask?

Most of my best friends are my same race, though our ancestors have a wide variety of countries of origin (different mixes). However I have many dear friends who are not the same race as I am. I make friends wherever I go... some of this, some of that.

Yes, he's even retired military (USMC, combat). My only close friend (since she was in 9th grade and I was in 11th) who is/was black passed away a few years ago. My wife asked, after the first time she met her, why I didn't marry HER.
Well, since she was going with someone at the time, who also accepted our friendship, it was a bit difficult. My wife, the astute person she is, commented that she bet that if something happened to her (my wife), I'd go get my friend...who remained single until she passed away.
