A tree trimming party happens when you have a group of friend over to help decorate your Christmas tree. Usually accompanied by cocoa or drinks and snacks. Just another reason to have a party. Usually happens a couple of weeks before Christmas.

What it is:
My family and I had had a tree trimming party tonight. We snacked on finger foods and sweet treats. For the tree we chose an arts and crafts theme. We made popcorn and cranberry strands, paper chains and paper snowflakes. It was allot of fun! It's a great way to turn the chore of decorating a tree into a fun event.
When:
Anytime after Thanksgiving and before Christmas Eve would be an acceptable time to have a tree trimming party.

At the very + senior citizen age of my life it's a party when someone else decorates the tree.
Thank God for grandchildren.!

Its when you invite friends & relitives over ( LOTS of food & snacks ) and you put up the Christmas tree and decorate it.Usually done in first week of december..Its fun.I do it.
