I was looking through a magazine from the 50s and it said that there was a contest to name Mr. Clean. Does anyone know what that name was or if he still has it?

ah maybe it was the 60s because the magazines i had were from the 50s and early 60s

Mr. Clean does have a first name. In the early 60s, a contest was sponsored in an attempt to find a suitable first name for him! The winning entry was "Veritably." which is still used today found this on Mr Clean's website

I have no clue. It's probably Bob. Mr. Clean gets rid of dirt and grime and grease in just a minute. Mr. Clean is stronger longer cause there's ultra power in it. Great, that's going to be in my head all night.

Mr. Clean is known as Mr. Proper in mainland Europe, probably to avoid confusion with Mr. Sheen and Mr. Muscle. In the United Kingdom it is known as Flash. In Canada, the French name is M. Net (nettoyer is the French verb for "to clean"').
