Now how is that possible? I guess you mean in mannerisms
rather than in the 'looks' dept? It's funny you posed this to us.
For today I mentioned to my husband, that with his actions
or mannerisms now, he's reminding me of my grandpa. And
it's a fact. I've always noticed, that when we age noticeably,
it's as if five years have suddenly caught up with each of us.
Suddenly we see definate age differences.
My husband took a picture of me today, and showed me the result. OMG I couldn't believe I have 'jowls' now. I now look like my grandmother. Or close. But now he's lost more hair and has a bald spot on his crown. And he's walking more stiff legged and due to arthritus in his spine, he sits more than he stands.
He's also sporting a stomach again, after getting it way down.
And here I naively thought when young, that getting old would be such a snap. A gentle glide. Instead, I'm rushing head first downhill, like a waterfall into a lake below. But then, I never gave thought to the fact, that I would develop a couple of diseases and start having the 'achey breakies' younger than even my grandma did. So it looks like both of us are going to be doing a fair amount of chuckling when we notice the charicteristics of aging more and more. But hey, it's not so bad, when you consider the alternative! LOL

Not at all! Ha! My dad is a good Christian man who has never sworn or had a drink in his life! He's also the least affectionate person on the planet. My boy on the other hand is a party animal like me but also showers me with attention and flattery and affection. Completely different!!
Good question though, I've heard people have written books saying how you go for people who remind you of your parent but I am living proof that it's not true at all! :)

Oh my goodness no! My dad was 5' 10" and weighed about 120 lbs. He had a handsome face however. My ex husband was 6' 3" 180. My last, long term friend was 6' 6" 240. I am only 5' 2" but always ended ( wait...I'm not dead yet...who knows?) lol , .......end ....up with tall men. My grandpa that raised me was 6' 5" and probably 250. So Gramps more than dad .

Not a bit. But my husband does remind me of HIS mother!
That is a good thing, by the way, she's a nice lady.

My ex DID remind me of my Mother. I learned this during counseling just before the divorce became final! Too bad I didn't have counseling BEFORE I got married...I doubt I would have gone through with it!

Yes, definitely! My Partner reminds me so much of my Dad.
My Dad was very affable, a likeable bloke, generous to a fault, terrific sense of humour and he liked his drink.

My partner looked so much like my Mother to me that I once confused them when they were in the same room. The partner had the same archetype as my mom. she was both partner and mother to me. She looked more like the mother who was there when I was young than my mother looked like herself after 25 years and her hair going gray.

My father was a workaholic, honest, kind, very humorous, took care of his responsibilities, and was very well liked by everyone who knew him.
My father, never hired anyone to repair his cars, to repair the plumbing, wiring, pour cement, etc., he was a builder and he always continued his education.
My husband is just like him. He gets the job done, when it has to be done,
They don't look alike, but both are very handsome.
My father looked like Clark Gable and my husband looks like Gary Cooper.
Both well respected in the community.
My father died in 1974 and had a very large funeral.
Our son was well taught by his father, but my daughters have had to learn to accept their husbands, because they expected them to be like their father.
They have finally adapted, to their own situation.
