Anyone can sue anyone for anything.

To WIN a defamation suit though, requires that you be able to prove that:

a) It was you she was talking about. (You can't defame a screenname, for example)
b) She made a false statement of fact, not opinion.
c) She either knew it was false, or made it with "reckless disregard" for the truth.

Then, in most cases, you have to have actual damages. In 'some' States defaming someone by stating they have a "loathsome disease", or defaming a woman by stating she is "unchaste" are de facto evidence of damages, but usually you have to prove you were financially harmed by the defamation.

You can sue if you can show damages.

Can you prove you lost a job or money or your health directly because of her actions?

If yes, then bring your receipts and try small claims court.

If it's not true and it is done with malicious intent and it causes you damages that you can prove in court, then you can sue for libel.
