my friend (15) and I(18) are visiting a friend and may need to rest a night in a hotel. Will they be allowed to stay in the room under my name?

There are several major resorts in Las Vegas that allow 18YO's to reserve/stay.

Luxor

MGM

Las Vegas Hilton

All you need is a CC & ID

Yes a minor relative can stay with an adult. Most hotels do not actually require a credit card, but you often must leave a cash deposit in order to get the room. Your best bet would be to call ahead to a hotel to get an idea of what would be involved. However if the adult goes and gets the room no one will ask who the other person is or anything. They just need to know who to sue if the guest causes damage to the room.

This is las vegas,...they may card you for booze or gambling, but they really dont care who is in the hotel rooms.

Most hotels require that the person reserving the room be 18 or 21, but some of them many not even check your ID anyway. But as long as you have the room, they dont care who else is in it, and what you do in it ---as long as its not damaged.

I rented Vegas rooms when i was 19 and 20...

Nobody checks that kind of stuff....whoever is with you is your business. Now, in Las Vegas it is near impossible to rent a room if you are under 21, thats because if you are under 21 you cant stay anywhere with a casino. Which rules out most places. Motel 6 is your best bet, especially if its just a sleeping spot

Keep in mind that you are an adult and your friend is a child that is not yours. If your friend's parents don't know about this and find out and they don't like it, they could cause a lot of trouble for you - e.g. have you arrested on suspicion of kidnapping. It could get even worse if you took your friend across state lines.
