i tried looking online. but anything i found either said yes it can, or no, it cant. anyone know for sure??

People.....come on. The seminal fluid in which the sperm is carried can seep through thin clothing; as any fluid will. However, the sperm cells themselves will be long dead before reaching your skin. Outside the human body the life of a sperm cell is practically zero. The temperature difference, exposure to the air (and pollutants) and exposure to light will kill it quickly. Not to mention the lack of motility the sperm will have while the fluid penetrates the clothing will eliminate any possibility of allowing living sperm to reach your skin or other human tissue.
If pregnancy is your concern....then don't be concerned.

Depends on the amount, force of ejaculation and the material that the clothes are made of. While sperm can travel through clothes, the risk of falling pregnant must be close to 0. Theres no way some solitary sperm is going to weasle its way through a layer of cotton panties through to the ovaries.

depends on what they are traveling in. If they are traveling by boat, as seamen often do, I imagine they will be beached when they reach land eh.
On the other hand, if they were shot at you in a missle from across the room, then I suppose there is a chance of them having enough force to penetrate your clothing, and start there treck to the nest. However I think this is very unlikely cuz they forgot the map. They need a place to swim to find their way. No map.... no gold, unless they are already in the river swimming towards the nest.....ya dig

Sarah, what are you doing? You should understand these things before you get in the situation.
No it can't really.. easily. Sperm dies quickly in air and would have a long way to travel to the egg. That isn't to say you can't get something else.

I'd love to hear the story as to why you need to know.....
but I think you're gonna be safe. It would be pretty hard for it to live "outside" so you may have felt a little wet but the little swimmers were probably dead.
Maybe you can look up the general info on survivability???
But I'd like the best answer or at least the reason why you needed to know the answer...

First, you need to learn that you can't believe everything that you hear on television, or on the internet. Second, you should ensure that you are ready for sex (and the possible consequences thereof) before becomming sexually active; and third, sperm can travel through clothing.

Sperm can only travel through clothing if it is polyester it wont go through denim or 100% cotten
