every since i got my first and last depo shot 4 months ago i have had 3 abcesses none b4 that nor had any1 in my famliy even heard of them really.but they always pop up right after my monthly cycle or right around that time and i was just worndering if mabe somehow it messed up my hormones or something my 1st was right around my....well we will say hoo ha (thats how my aunt says it lol)and the next 2 under my left arm all places affected by monthly hormone changes plz plz help these things are getting old and very painful

It could be. Depo treats many women very horribly so I would not be surprised if this is the case.

yes it does. I've been on depo for 2 years and just got an abscess the size of a baseball at the injection site from a shoddy nurse. it's really important that you see your doctor when an abscess appears, you never know if it's an infection or a sterile abscess until it's lanced. It's better to be safe than amputated if it's a larger abscess so getting it drained is the best option, although it does cause a bit of scarring.
Also, there are reports of some girls getting an abscess from the shot and later finding they are pregnant. not to raise alarms, but it could render the shot ineffective depending on the time frame and speed at which your body absorbs the medicine.
(I know this is an old question, I just want to put this answer here in case other girls are searching for help in this situation. it's an awful thing to go through alone especially when doctors don't have every answer you're looking for.)
