that wanted to fly you there to spend New Years with them, would you let him do it? It's not a question of safety, they have met, it's a question of him paying for the trip, do you let him do it?

Accepting anothers' generosity can be difficult. We all like to feel that we can carry our own load. However, if the person is a true friend, then it's important to honor that friendship by simply saying "thank you".

I dated someone in another state and we each always paid for our own transportation. However, if the other person offered because it was important to her that I was there and I couldn't afford it and I knew that it was not a financial burden on them, then sure.

Yes that is me she is talking about. Im offering her the opportunity to come here just for a few days to get away from some problems at home. No strings attached. She has so much pride that shes being really reluctant. Please help and tell her its ok...lol
