I have graduated from college and I am currently attending graduate school (my fulfilled dreams), but I don't have any children yet and I don't know if I ever will because I fear the pain of childbirth. I am 22 years old, so I don't know what I could tell you about dreams and life that you don't already know...maybe just that as we get older, our dreams can change, and change is not always a bad thing.

All of us have dreams, the unifying characteristic is probably that they are unattainable and built on fantasy and wishful thinking. Dreams are just that, dreams. Set some realistic goals and start to work toward them. When you achieve one, work toward the next, always being mindful of what you have at the moment.
The saddest person I ever knew said he had achieved all his dreams and he had nothing else to look forward to. The trouble was he had lost everything that was important to him while he was trying so hard to fulfill his dreams. He had such lofty goals that he didn't see that what he really needed had been his all along...it was only when he lost it that he looked back and realized what he had done. He didn't realize that happiness doesn't come from having what you want, it comes from wanting what you have.
