You really can't answer that question yourself?
When you figure out who you really are (life goals, morals, etc)- it will naturally change your perspective because you see life and yourself differently.

Ahh this sounds like a discussion we did in class about Siddhartha about a month ago... I had to write a paper about how experience leads to wisdom.. Anyway, i think self-discovery (same thing as experience, right?) does result in a change of perspective. You get wiser with more experience and are able to see things in other ways
I hope that made sense... =/

Is this your homework?
Discovering things by oneself is a way for someone to experience something individually. Most people have a certain way to think about certain things. Hence, self-discovery surely results in a change of perspective.
Give me 10 points if you think i'm worth it. Haha Merry Christmas.

once you know what your reason for being here is, then you are able to view life in a more profound way. that is to say, once you realize what your purpose in life is, then you will be able to strive to complete whatever that is, giving you a view of the world in a way that you had not perceived it before. furthermore, you will have a inner peace about yourself that will be in harmony with your higher power. which in my case would be God and my purpose is to love and praise Him. my belief in God helps me (perspective of the things in this world) live daily trusting Him for all things, He gives me peace in the midst of many terrible things that go on in this world. my self-discovery was in getting to know Him, building a relationship with Him.

Um.. Not very strong. Then again, I'm a visual learner. No one believes me but I think i have a partial photographic memory :) I do think that if you find osmething else out on your own then you'll remember exactly when and where you were it when it came to you. In today's generation people are too darn lazy to sit there and THINK about stuff. Too much imagination is in destruction from the media. I think people need to take a week without television and music and just think about discovering something new.

Self Discovery - You discover things on your own, and if you believe something, and then you discover something, your idea changes.

(to me) self discovery is finding things out on your own and depending on what it is that you find and how you find it is what helps you to grow or benefit from your discovery. either way they help you to grown and learn from what you find out

Depends, what the heck are you talking about? Every day is another experience, even if you are doing the same thing you did yesterday.
-Ironically, a deranged man does the same thing expecting different reactions, yet what is life?

are you asking for the difference in your perspective when discovering something for yourself vs. your perspective after reading something, say, in a textbook?
