In basketball, there are several roles as a point guard. There are scorers, lock down defenders, and playmakers. An all-star point guard is expected to accomplish some of each. Baron Davis is a good scorer, who has the ability to drive to the rim pretty much whenever he feels like it. On top of that, Davis has a defensive presence. However, he averages less than 10 assists per contest. This is because Baron Davis is the best offensive player the Warriors can use, unlike Jason Kidd who has several dependable outlets. The point guard should meet the team's needs, and right now Baron Davis is a scorer, which is what he generally prefers. His style of play best matches Isiah Thomas, a tough defensive player who loves to take the game deciding shots.

Baron Davis is the man. The only consistent player on an inconsistent team. Nobody in the league wants to have to guard this guy.

We loved him in New Orleans before he started getting injured and finally demanded a trade. He was awesome and a great team leader, which you see flashes of at Golden State. A healthy Baron Davis is one of the top 10 players in the NBA!

without a doubt when hes healthy he is one of the best at his position, top 3 i think. much like my boy vince carter..when hes healthy hes one of the best in the NBA. but baron is strong, can muscle in smaller guards and score from the outside as well. hes clutch too and a great passer and ball handler. i love baron davis
