I went to the hospital back in october because i was experiencing very heavy bleeding in a short time. They said it was only an abnormal period. My periods have been late since then and when I do have them it has been only spotting. I have had the pregnancy symptoms like swollen breasts, morning sickness, urination frequency, and increased appetite. I finally went to the doctor to see what was wrong and he did two blood tests in the same week. The first one came back positive but the second one came back negative. Could I actually be pregnant and the second test be wrong? I would be far enough along to know for sure with a blood test.

Some times doctors think they know everything and you dont know anything, because they are used to dealing with people who over react to things. Disscuss your concernes with your doctor and if you feel like hes not listning or is not trying to find out what is wrong and you think something is wrong, see another doctor.
Blood pregnancy test measure hcg levels thats a hormone in your body. You want to find out what the level for each test was get a number. Your hcg levels double every couple days. 5 is not pregnant if your more than a month along your levels should be in the 100s or 1000s and the second test should be higher than the first. If your leavels are very low your not pregnant if they were high and dropped rapidly you had a miscariage if they continue to increase than you are well on your way to becoming a mommy.

Ive had 4 misscairiages so ive had alot of hcg test and also went to the health dept so i know what its like being frustrated with doctors.

It could be. Not sure why one would be positive and one negative. I would take a home urine test and see what happens. If you get a positive at home, talk this over with the doctor. If you get a negative...maybe it's just a hormonal imbalance. Either way you should fully discuss this with your OBGYN.

they frequently are precise, yet you need to evaluate that a lab technician is coping with the blood specimen. There ought to be lab blunders. I even have heard of a few women human beings having fake negatives on the two HPT's and blood exams.

I got a false negative when I was pregnant with my son. I was about a week late. So I'd say yes, it is possible.

What did the OB say? I don't know about this one. I would try a different doctor and see what they say. Something is definitely awry......
