the fact that the last three league MVPs in the National Basketball Association are International. Dirk is German and Nash is Canadian. Kobe got robbed the year after Nash won but still... Where is our American hero who will step up? Kobe? LeBron? Shaq? (Maybe if he steps up and stops eating those cheeseburgers.. nevermind he's done)

Who cares? This is the attitude that is the cause of USA not winning an International Basketball event or a Gold medal in the Olympics.

I could careless about it being more popular. I care about better international player and international teams being more skilled in a league that originated in the U.S.

I think the MVP Award has changed, and not for the better. I agree that your team has to be good, but not the best, just very good. But, it should go to the player who does the most for his team, without him, they would be a lottery team. I have no problem with Dirk Nowitzki last year, to me he basically won by process of elimination, nobody else really stepped up. But Lebron should have won when his team won 50 games and he was close to averaging a triple double.
I agree with Steve Nash first MVP, but not the 2nd one.
I have no problem with they being international players, but give it to the guy who deserves it the most.

NBA is popular in places other than the US, big deal. It happened to hockey and baseball (and possibly football in the future if they keep doing what they're doing), why not basketball?

But Kobe did get screwed a few years ago, I agree with you there.
