To whom do we have this obligation? Obligations require at least two parties. All moral obligations are either to God or they are just based on sentimental feelings. What moral authority does a feeling have? None that I know of.
The love of a parent for a child is either something from God (in which case we do have an obligation) or that love is just a feeling (in which case there is no obligation ).
Sttatement like this this one: "I have a moral obligation to be the best me I can be, live with no regrets, and give to others ..." are just self-congratulatory, feel-goodisms, i.e. it makes the speakers feel good to say it. It's an obligation based upon sentimental feelings which is no obligation at all.

Be a good mother and that is no joke. I know a lot of my q's and a's are silly but my kids are my everything. Even when they drive me crazy lol.
