I want my boobs smaller, and, preferably, higher and firmer. I have only ever seen breast implants. My friend had hers reduced and she said hers have the "anchor" scar.

I know really nothing about either reduction or lift. Is it sucessful? How does it even work? Will there be lots of scarring? Any information--much appreciated.

i had a reduction with lift Feb 2006 and I love it. I'd do it again if I had to.

A reduction with lift can be covered by insurance.

A lift by itself will NOT be covered by insurance.

The scars are not as horrible as some are saying. A good DOCTOR and a good PATIENT will indicate the outcome of how the scars look. Mine are barely noticeable and I made sure to use mederma and scarguard on my incisions after they had closed.

Please check out this site, it has an excellent FAQ section about reductions:

If you get a reduction they will be smaller and higher. My sister in law had one. The scarring was not too bad. She had terrible back problems. They went away with her reduction.
