I am asking because I am curious to see if anyone really knows the answer.
I hear right-wing media claiming me to be liberal, while I hear left-wing media claiming me to be conservative. lets see if anyoen on yahoo really knows more than the media. i give a desiption of my beliefs and you tell me what I am, politically.

- all liberals have no clue on how to run a government, because they don't understand what needs to be done. It doesn't help that they are socialists.
-I believe in traditional moral values
-I don't believe in gun control
- I believe that a strong central government is natural and invitable, and a strong military should be used to revive traditional moral values within America, and promote the American way of life overseas.
- I believe that if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear from a strong central government.
-there is no "we or them", with power come responsibilities, and one of those is to make sure that there is no "them".

Nora, opposing gun control gets votes from conservatives. Isn't like anything the public owns is a threat to a well equiped military.

how cute jd4640, but traditional conservative ideology is only a bit more prepared to operate a modern democracy than liberals. If we didn't vote along the same lines, I would consider conservatives liberal.
But it isn't my ideology that is getting weaker.

1) "All liberals have no clue on how to run the government." What kind of a statement is that? The worst prime minister in the last 30 years in the UK was conservative, John Major, while blair was one of the best (apart from the iraq war) leaders the country has ever had.
"It doesn't help that they are socialists." Maybe you should have a look at you history and see that the founding fathers were some of the most liberal politicians in the world, in one of the most liberal governments in the world at their time.
Socialism does not have to be bad, nor does communism, however the people that have generally lead these govts have only got where they were because they were ruthless.
Native american tribes can be seen as communist way back when, they had a communal group where everything was for everyone, does that make them bad?

2) What are traditional moral values?
It is okay to beat your wife? It is okay to send you children to work? Blacks should be slaves??? These are "traditional moral values" of your country what, 150 years ago.
I think what you are saying is, people should be told what to do by someone because they do not have the capacity to think for themselves.
Also, "traditional moral values" worked in the past when a person needed to have their job, if they lost it, they died, and they had no choice in which profession they worked in. Is that the sort of world you want??

3) No gun control huh? You want criminals to have guns, the insane to have guns, kids to take guns to school.

4) A strong central government to tell you what to do because you cannot do things for yourself???? A strong military to revive traditional values, what? Genocide, ethnic cleansing, rape, murder etc etc???
While your great strong govts of the past were enslaving the blacks, moving native americans across the country (ethnic cleansing) removing native american kids from their parents to "Americanise" them (genocide), killing native american culture (genocide), putting them on reservations with lots of alcohol and no means to support themselves because they would kill the crops, so they would not be in the way, (genocide) and then finally locking up members of native american movements because they were trying to get their culture back which had been taken from them (genocide), these are your traditional moral values are they? Because where i come from, genocide and ethnic cleansing are not moral at all.
Promoting the american way of life overseas??? Why? You want more immigrants in your country do you? You want people to know just how great it is to work too much, for people to ignore their families (leading to 50% of marriages breaking up), of how you have education and health systems that favour the rich and ignore the poor. Hmm.

5) You have nothing to fear from a central govt, yet you don't want gun control. Guns are protected in the constitution because the founders FEARED a strong central government. Hitler, Stalin, Pinnochet, Chavez, Saddam, and others are strong leaders, do you fear them??

6) If you want a strong government, there has to be a them.

To summerise what your have said and to answer the question. You are a person who has not much idea about politics (i don't mean this in a bad way) you have many different ideas that contradict each other, if put into place you would be in a very bad and evil country. The nearest i can get is Nazism, they wanted a strong central government with traditional values, the govt told everyone what to do, and it was done. Unfortunatly, you have to realise that in a country with many different types of people, liberals, conservatives, etc, you need to have concensus, because if one group dominates, you will have bad politics.

I would give you a learners badge as your political view, tell you to go and read a lot more about different countries.

I would suggest to be up to date, you read books about venezuela for example, pro and anti books on both chavez and the regimes before hand. To look at why rights were placed into the constitution, and to look at the way countries were 100 years ago, and why they are better now. And to do all of this with an open mind. Otherwise you will forever be voting in people like bush, who claimed to bring integrity back to the white house, but actually, have been worse, yet because they never take the blame for their problems, always sacking the relevant person in charge, they look good.

Which is better, lying because you had an affair, or incompetence on hurricanes, wars, and other things that have left who knows how many people dead???

You could be persuaded to be conservative if some things were explained to you. Such as having nothing to fear from a strong federal government as long as you have nothing to hide. I think that theory could use some work.
Keep reading and listening to arguments from both sides. In time you'll lean to one side or the other.

Neoconservative/authoritarian (though the gun control thing is certainly...interesting, given your other opinions).
