Hi! Yeah, well, ya big SHOWOFF! Seriously, I think that's great!
I've been married, and divorced! twice. My theory: The first time could be anyone's fault.... The second time... maybe it's you...
It is definitely ME!
I think everone should be married at least once...
That way they know what it is they are DEFINITELY never going to do again! I'm apparently a slow learner, but I've got it now!
I find that I can sustain a long-term relationship... unless it gets mucked-up with that piece of paper! For some reason, one of the parties seems to feel that something/someONE has just been bought and paid for.... Tends to destroy the feeling.
I admire people who are able to get it right.... I'm just not very good at it, myself. }:>

If your marriage has "dragged on"...it probably needs to be revived! Marriage is always in motion...improving...or going the opposite way. Without care and effort, it could just fade away.

To answer your question...I'm in my first and only marriage and have been married 49 years this fall. And it still takes work and effort on the part of both of us.

Congrats (??) on your marriage.

I've been married twice:

*They both left me.

*I was a military officer in the first one (she couldn't handle the lifestyle). She split when I got out of the military. Four years.

*The latest one split on the kids and me about two years ago. She decided that she'd had enough, I guess. Thirteen years.

I haven't dated, since the last divorce. I know how vulnerable I am, so I just bury myself with my kids, and my martial arts tournament fighting obligations (i.e., training, traveling, recovery ...).

Have A Nice Holiday Season, okay?

Married once for 10 years, divorced and single for 4-5 years (great times!:) and then remarried again going on 8 years.... Man, that makes me sound really old! :) If this one doesn't work out, I will never remarry.
