Hi i am trying to impress my new bf's family this xmas and we did a grab bag. i got his sister, she is 5ft3 and a size 16 to 18 in pants. she wants something that is not going to need to be hemmed, because it would ruin the style of jeans. does anyone know where i can get a larger size in jeans for a shorter woman?

I already know about the gap and lane bryant as well, i needed to know if there were any other places, help me! :)

i'm about the same size, and i can buy jeans at old navy and they fit fine. the sweetheart style looks best, it's straight leg. they have a lot of different washes too :)

try also talbots. they carry plus size petites.

however, my best advice, unless you truly know the person's size, clothing is not a good gift.

and unfortunately because she is 5'3", chances of finding pants that don't require hemming is virtually impossible. My mom, me and my sister in law who are 5'2" to 5'5" all have to hem our pants. once in a blue moon we find pants that don't need to be, but 99% of the time we have to. And the only way hemming would ruin the jean is if it has embellishment at the bottom, are flared/bootcut and you have to take of more than 2 inches.

Look for places that sell juniors plus - lane bryant is more for adult women. Goodys has a great selection in this department if you have one and also try Torrid.

I've heard torrid is good, or buy her a gift card so she can try them on and make sure they fit, so you don't have to worry about it.
