People curse at me that I should drive a car instead of my bicycle. Well isn't a bicycle a car as well and we get the same rights as those stupid metal pieces of crap !

A bicycle is not a car it is a mode of transportation that is far better than a car! Cars are for lazy people! The bike is definately the way to go better for you, the environment, and sometimes even your wallet. I've had people almost run me off the road. Like the one time I had a Lexus bumper almost touching my pedal! He sort of backed off when I through my mini pump at his wind shield and cracked it. He called the cops and the cop chewed him out and just told me to be a little more careful! It was great the yuppy was in such dismay! It was great! Anyway bikes rule!!!!! Keep the rubber side down brotha!!!!

Bikes are made of metal too. And cars use gas, and engine. So, no. It's not a car. It's for transpertation. You wouldn't call a wagon a car, right?

You have said nothing about the where this happened, the time of day, the amount of traffic, or your conduct while riding.

Can you haul as much cargo on your bike as a truck? What size family do you carry on that bike?

I sometimes bike on a bike & walking path. How do you deal with those groups of people who walk slowly and take up the whole width?

As defined by California state law, a bike does have to follow the rules of the road. But is it considered a vehicle? I don't think so.

No. A car is something you physically climb inside of. It doesn't have to be fully enclosed, but a bycicle you climb ON.

Ex) Box cars, Automobiles (cars), Elevator cars, Chariots, etc...
