I saw that, someone had it on a myspace buletin. That's really a bad move on his part. Sure he is in his own way protesting against this country, but man that's just not the way to do it. You might not like this country, but I will support it and give it strength from my resolve no matter what. I will give him this though, he's got some balls standing against the grain and standing for what he belives, just doing it in the wrong way.

No this isn't true, its just a rumor to get those who don't know any better to question Obamas Patriotism. At this point it would be silly to doubt either candidates patriotism, as both have made huge sacrifices, and have done a lot for America. I do believe however that being a patriot is certainly not enough to warrant you running the whole country, some of the more ignorant Mcain supports constantly barrage forums with claims that " Mcain sat in a box for 3 months for America, and he would never sell his country down the river" but to think any of these candidates would is ludicrous. the fact is though, the decisions a candidate makes is far more important than how long hes served, or whether he was a war hero, and the fact that Mcain Agrees with Bush 90% of the time worries me.

even though it's through the grapevine, some people are claiming some affiliation with islam whether it be yesterday or thirty years ago. Of course, he has the right to NOT salute the flag or wear a lapel pin but if he loves America as much as he says he does then he'll slap that right hand over his heart and prove to us HOW MUCH he loves it. Otherwise, ya'll are following someone and an ideology that doesn't represent America in it's true context and form.
I'm willing to bet amidinijad is smiling all the way down to his socks, excuse me...sandals.

Everyobody who says that Barack Obama is unpatriotic, and you can't believe he wont support the flag, you need to do some research because to anyone that knows anything you look like an idiot. First of all the picture (singular) is during the national anthem not during the pledge so you are wrong about that. And no he doesn't wear an American Flag Pin but let me point out something to you, its a pin!!! Are you really going to base your decision for our president based on something so stupid as whether he wears a pin or not then you really should be ashamed of yourself.

It is not like he is burning the flag or anything. Heck, I don't always put my right hand over my heart for the pledge or star spangled banner. I get lazy and do the same thing he is doing in the flag at times. I am still showing respect. Don't let a trivial hand gesture completely influence what you think of the man.

As much as I like to slam liberals, the truth must be told. Obama is listening to the Star Spangled Banner song not saying the pledge of Allegiance.
Dems never wear the US flag pin on their lapel because George and the republicans do.

I think if he refuses to salute the flag, every sane American should refuse to vote for him. I would not vote for him at all anyway, but if he refuses to salute the flag, the same flag I love, the same flag that I put my hand over my heart for and shed a tear for, I will NEVER vote for him.

I'd like to know how you can be sure that the Pledge of Allegiance was being said when this picture was taken.
I personally don't care for this issue because it is a non-issue. Senator Obama's policies matter far more than his flag-pledging behaviour. I don't care if you decide not to vote for the man or not, just do it for the right reasons please.

I think it is cool that a candidate is willing to stand for his beliefs. We want that in a president, right?
Obama is an American. He refuses to go all hyper-political on the issues. For me, that is ok. He is just being a normal American.
I don't want a cowboy who invokes violence to prove he is really, truly patriotic. I want a person who is standing up. One who knows the issues. And the one who stands up for us as a nation. We remember that all those we vote in are those who represent us?
I am tired of being the despised American. My faults should be my own, and to have this catastrophic administration's seal of approval on it is sick.
Go back to history. We are a fighting people. We talk out loud-we do not allow them to silence us. We once believed God himself destined this country. Why are we letting this little mole destroy all that hundreds of years have created
destroy us?
Have a backbone. I don't give a crap who you vote for, just do not let this BS slide. It takes a minute out of your day? The dumbasses who preserved, and we let be destroyed, spent lifetimes for you to have the right object.
In the history of things, let it not be 'lazyness' that destroyed America.
God help us. And no, we are not normally assholes. Its that we are hijacked. And when you can portray that on tv-we are automatically them.
