apparently separation of church and state is not an issue for the REV Sharpton, Rev Jackson, Muslim/Black Separatist Obama, or for Mormon Harry reid, but it is an issue for Romney and Huckabe.

The Cons didn't make their religion part of the campaign, you Liberals did. read the question and open your mind.

Because the Republicans make such a huge deal out of it. Dems are generally more accepting of people not all fitting the same description, while the Republicans want conformity.

Because the press knows, just like the rest of us, that it's only the Republicans who get confused about the concept of the separation of church and state. They make a big deal out of religion in their politics, and the press responds in kind.
The press isn't questioning the religions of Romney and Huckabee - the Republicans are. Instead of "inquiring minds want to know" it's "Republican minds want to know" and the press obliges by exploring exactly what the Republicans feel they need to know to make a decision about their vote.
If the Democrats based their vote even partially on religion we'd be hearing more about Hillary's Methodist background, etc. Instead they make their voting decisions based on what the candidate plans to do, not by which church they attend.
And by the way? No where in Obama's book does it say he was EVER Muslim. Go ahead, find a quote from his book and prove me wrong. I won't hold my breath. Hillary isn't saying it either. One of her idiot campaign people passed along a chain smear letter about it, and they are now out of a job. Nice job trying to twist the truth though ;-).

I didn't know Al Sharpton or Jackson were running for the presidency. You initial question was a good one, but the bait and switch racist disinformation plug about Obama was just plain disingenuous. Romney wants others to look at him fairly but does he look at other religions fairly? Check out his Islamaphobic website. Rather you like Islam or not, don't be a hypocrite and cry when others are judging Mormonism, but it is OK for you to trash all Muslims.

I'd say because the Dems do not make their religion a part of their campaigns. Religion is a private and personal matter. The Repubs feel the need to exploit their beliefs in order to get elected. A candidates religion or lack there of should be a non-issue. We are not electing a spiritual advisor or a pope.

Ooo...who piddled in your Wheaties?
The only democrat in your list who is running for office is Obama, and the last time I checked he's christian, not Muslim, or separtist.
Also interesting that three of the four Dems you name are black; when do you get your white sheet back from the cleaners?

Obama is NOT Muslim and the others you mentioned are not running for President.
I do seriously doubt that you have read Hillary Clinton's book.

They've already trounced on Obama's dad, or did you miss that? Harry Reid is not running for president, and the rest are Christian like the nation has had forever.

Hmmmm, well, if you have to lie about peoples religions.....just to let you know, Obama is NOT muslim:

Secondly, besides the one person you lied about (obama), none of the other people are running for office, or are even relevant.

The Dems seem to only go to church during election years. I see Hillery and Bill in their political career went to black churches when they wanted votes. Why not go to a integrated church every Sunday. It fits the far left agenda to paint anyone that believes as a extremist. It's a family value question.
