The U.S is building up power. Some say its for bad intentions like ruling the world or something. Some say its for good intentions like helping other nations or something and bring peace on this world. But what is it really, in your point of view?

The intentions are good but they are turning sour. Actually, it's the fear of losing control of the world and it turning into chaos. I say if you try too hard it will happen and the original intention is lost

Some of our leaders want to run the world but most of the people don't so we are very bad at it. We can't even pacify a small county like Iraq or protect our own borders.

First of all, I think the only reason the US is building any military power is to fight terrorism ALONE.
Our friends and allies are either too scarred or too stupid to see that Islamic Radicals are very real threats to our way of life.
No, the US doesn't want to rule the world, just try & save it.
As far as helping other nations, I hope to GOD we don't. I wish they spoke Japanese in Austraila, and German in Paris.
