I have been talking to lots of women here. Happily married, Unhappily married, separated, divorced, widowed, single moms, independents women, single women and new weds. I personaly think that it is greener on the other side for some lucky people out there. The greener on the other side does not apply to everyone-everybody only certain people out there. I guess, its just the pure luck for some people. Some people have all the luck in the world and some don't have any luck at all in the marriage department. I guess this is just the way life is for certain people. So my question is "Is it greener for some people only!" -(Not eveyone!) Thanks guys.

The thing about grass is this -- it isn't always greener, sometimes it's just MORE GRASS :-)
Some people divorce and find happiness. Others never do.
One thing is certain - if you leave your partner simply because you think the "grass is greener" - you've got issues.
(Remember why they say "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence?" Because once you cross that fence and look BACK, guess which grass is on the other side!)

I once heard a speaker say that there is no greener grass on the other side of the fence ... but I think for some - it is greener. I also think for others - it is not.

I have also thought about these things.

I have seen people get out of bad marriages, for different reasons ... it might be abuse, emotional hurt, cheating, or just whatever .. then go to someone else - and be completely & totally happy. Sooooo ... that proves the grass can be greener for some folks.

Like everything else in life .... sometimes things works out - and - sometimes things do not work out.

So .. I think your statement is accurate .. it is greener for some people only .. not everyone.

Some people are the marrying kind and some just don't adapt to it very well. Maybe they are immature or selfish...who knows. For me, I like dating and the renewal of the feelings you have when you don't see someone every day, and I don't enjoy the routine of marriage. At times I just want to go home and spend time by myself. I prefer making my own decisions, and not having to consider how everything I do will effect someone else. At the same time, I am perfectly willing to stay faithful to one person, at least for long periods.
For me, the grass is definitely greener as a single.

I dont think the grass is always Greener it really depaends how much you water it,
Marriage nowdays is not taken seriously people can so easily get into it and out of it, During life you have ups and downs but you work through them(abuse and cheating dont count) once trust is gone its gone,,,,,But please remember if you water your grass it will be greener than your neighbours if you dont water it it will go brown.......
Anything in life is not easy it all takes work

It is like playing Russian roulette,,,
However I can say this,,usually this term is used when a married person or someone in a relationship, cheats. Therefore this action of deceit, lies and betrayal will always, always have consequences even if the grass seems greener, I'm not taking my chances!

I believe so.
I think if you're in a marriage that makes you miserable and causes you unhapiness then it wasn't meant to be and eventually you will find happiness and better things out there in the long run.
It's not always greener.. like for people who want to leave their loving spouse for an old flame... sometimes people make mistakes with that!

I divorced my cheating husband and the grass is definitely greener on this side of the fence, no question about it.

its not a matter of luck to happen.. you have to make that luck happen for yourself.. you either contribute or contaminate a relationship. if you go for the greener side as you say.. it is only greener if you make it greener for yourself.. if you make it bad then it will be bad.. alot of life to me is about attitude. you wake up each day and you are going to work to make it a great day or your going to work it into a bad day. for me i wake up everyday with the goal of making people around me feel good and even strangers.. i always make sure i have made at least one person smile each day..and my day goes good knowing that... people always say that about me always lucky or something.. but its not luck i choose to be this way.. and thats what you have to do. choose how each day is going to be for you... or are going to let someones rain on your party lol so to speak lol... good luck

I don't think it's necessarily about being lucky or unlucky. Sometimes it's the way you look at things as well. Because you can have all the luck in the world, but if you're focused on what you DON'T have in your relationship, then you're going to think that you're unlucky, you know what I mean?

Because if I have man who loves me and cares about me, but doens't show me that he cares because he doesn't want to pay to have my nails done, and therefore I think that he doesn't care about me at all...then I'd be stupid, right? Because that's not what indicates if he cares or not.

Some people would think this means that their man doesn't love them at all, and would dump him for someone with more money. However, it's all about what you think about love and caring. Is it caring if you live or die or is it caring if your nails look cute or not?

I'm thinking that it depends on the colour of the grass that you are presently standing on - figuratively speaking :)
