The feminist got angry and left.

Is this yet another case of feminist hypocrisy being exposed, followed by a feminist pretending to be angry?

Everyone seems to interpret feminism individually. The goal of feminists is for society to accept the equality of the different genders, even though each gender brings different energy to the table. I have never wanted to be a guy, and actually my theory about the long historical suppression of females by males results from the denial that they are not better than women, but in fact, we could not exist without mutual acceptance and cooperation, and respect for the qualities each gender provides that balances stabilizes the family. Women want equal pay, equal professional opportunity, equal educational opportunity, and just plain social definition of equality. Life is a partnership.

No, sorry.

Though I am a girl, I believe that women are equal to men, not better or anything else. I promise you an unbiased answer, though your question angers me a little....

First of all, not all women wear makeup. All I wear is chapstick and a little foundation. Why? To cover up zits. Come on, you don't REALLY want to see my zits, do you?? Lol.

Makeup is worn by women for different reasons. Yes, you are right, there are females that wear it because they want to look better than they do, they want to change their face, the way they appear to others. But really, it's more of a fashion statement.

People want to look better than they really do to fit in with society. True statement, and not just true for women. Do men or do men not wear clothing and shoes and shave their face to make them look better?

Also, the feminist was probably talking more about how women are more open-hearted. Not my opinion, hers.

Anyway, I hope I helped. You don't know how hard it is for me to not scold you and cuss you out right now.

PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION SORRY I HAVE TO DO THIS

Most of the "dishonest" people I've encountered are women. And I'm a woman. Women are so dishonest, it's sorrowing. They're way better at lying than men.

You've gotten some bad answers from apparent makeup wearers. I think the question you posed to the "feminist" is funny. Makeup, push-up bras, girddles, colored contact lens (yeah men wear 'em too, you get my point). Dishonesty doesn't stop at a certain point. If it's false, it's false, unless you REALLY need your teeth replaced. Then it's acceptable.

Awwww sounds like someone's trying to get a rise out of others by being a stirrer.
Guess you could call it that, a falsehood if you want.
Anyway, why do you lie by wearing glasses, why not just be short-sighted? And you shave too don't you? Isn't it a porkie-pie because you're hiding your true masculinity?

First of all i dont think women are anymore honest then men. We are pretty much equal. It shouldnt depend on someones gender, it should depend on their character and personality.

I guess makeup does make you somewhat dishonest but it shouldnt be everything that honesty is based on between genders. Also NOT ALL WOMEN WEAR MAKEUP, i know tons of girls who dont and they are as beautiful as can be. Actually i know some gay guys who wear makeup occasionally. Nothing is ever black and white when it comes to stereotyping men and women.

Also i disagree strongly with the feminists opininon that, "women are more honest". As a feminist she is stereotyping women! Yea i dont know who you were talking to but shes very hypocritical. Just like all women arent the same, so you shouldnt judge me by what she said. Just because shes hypocritacle and a women doesnt mean i am too.

Make-up is a funny thing. I am 19 and wear makeup and at one point in time i felt bad for wearing it. Someone would say, "your beautiful/pretty" to me and i would feel bad about it because i felt like i was lieing to them because it wasn't what i truly looked like. So i talked to my mom about it and she said, "their is nothing wrong with wearing makeup, it simply enhances your allready beautiful and natural features".

Most women wear makeup because obviously(if applied correctly) they want to be as beautiful as possible. But theirs more to it than that. To me makeup is fun to apply. Its like painting a canvas but instead its your face and theirs thousands of different colors you can use and ways to apply it. Its amazng to see how your face can transform in so many different ways. I also love buying it(its a lot more fun than shopping for clothes) and it makes me feel feminine.

sry, this was ridiculously long, but i was bored and the question intrigued me.

I am not a feminist, so when it comes to makeup, haircolor, and the breasts I was born with, call me a psychological liar! ha.

Makeup is akin to adornment such as jewelery, clothing, etc...It has absolutely nothing to do with "dishonesty."

Why do you purposefully try to upset people? Do you get a kick out of it? Seems you have some anger issues, my friend. Every time you post a question you talk about how entertaining it was to piss someone else off for no good or apparent reason. How do you know that woman was a feminist? And f.y.i: I seriously doubt she was pretending to be angry. I'm sure you actually managed to tick her off.

This is another story that's not true. You are trying to make a point that has no validity unless you can make a feminist look stupid.

Women wear make up for the same reason that you shave your face. Who are you trying to deceive?
