The other day I was listening to the radio - A similar discussion had been on.

One woman rang in saying she was on benefits, she had 2 kids, and her husband had died a few months ago. The money she gets is bare to nothing. If she worked and put her kids in childcare, she said she wouldn't have enough to feed them, so has to resort to benefits

Without knowing anything about her she'd be labeled "Single Mother with 2 Kids on benefits" to which many would say "Scrounger"

Its' like saying every black person carries a knife/ every Gay guy is camp etc etc. The media highlight a select few, e.g. shows like "Jeremy Kyle and "Trisha" highlight the minority from there everyone assumes everyone is the same,

Of course not everyone believes all who claim benefits are scroungers , but some do-

LOL- Your writing is readable, just abbreviated, I don't see the problem.

EDIT: I think the Government should show more awareness to the reality of those on benefits, Sadly the media will always portray those in benefits in a bad way, as someone said before, it makes some feel better, as they can look down on them- saldy this type of news sells

More advice should be set-up. Many complain, "Too lazy to get a job" Some simply can't because no-one will hire them, in business eyes: "Why would they want to hire a single mother who can only work select hours/no weekends" The Government should make childcare for people under a certain income- more affordable/ Free.

I believe a small minority of those on benefits spend the money on alcohol etc.

That's great that it's convenient for you but the world does not revolve around you. If you want to communicate effectively you need to write in a way that is convenient for everyone rather than just you.

The fact that you write like this having been to college is actually quite distressing.

Nobody is judging for being on benefits, you are being judged because you are acting in an immature manner by writing like this.

I bet you are on benefits, you come across like an uneducated chav who is too lazy to write properly so is probably too lazy to work.Looking for a job??Don't fill in your application form like that or you'll never get one...perhaps that would suit you.Which 'college' did you go to???Some people on benefits (disabled etc) deserve it but long-term unemployed and spongers don't. They complain that they hardly have enough money to live on but they smoke (£4 a pack) and drink (£2 a pint)...check their houses...many have digital sky TV dishes outside. They have kids (often by different fathers/mothers) which earn them exrta child benefits.
Why should hard working people pay taxes to keep spongers in ciggies and booze and nappies?

Oh, i thought you said 'pre-judge on beliefs' there and was getting ready to spew some firey words of compassionate energy your way.

Because people like to stand above others.

I'm amazed that so many people here claim to have been to college yet are unable to write a simple sentence in a manner that others can understand.

This must be a wind-up!!

You can't write, you can't spell, you're on benefits, you'll be pregnant before long, you'll be a permanent drain on society and you will bring you rkids up the same way.

And to cap it off, you are called Chelsea!

You're having a larf

I don't pre judge you at all, I mean with writing like that you have no chance of getting a job.
