Last night CNN en Español aired the above image, which captions at the bottom "Who Killed him?" by "accident". The image of President Chavez with the caption about killing him below, which some could say subliminally incites to assassination, was a "production error" mistakenly made in the CNN en Español newsroom. The news anchor had been narrarating a story about the situation between Colombia and Venezuela and then switched to a story about an unsolved homicide but - oops - someone forgot to change the screen image and President Chavez was left with the killing statement below. Today they apologized and admitted it was a rather "unfortunate" and "regrettable" mistake. Yes, it was.

On a scarier note, an internal CIA memorandum has been obtained by Venezuelan counterintelligence from the US Embassy in Caracas that reveals a very sinister - almost fantastical, were it not true - plan to destabilize Venezuela during the coming days. The plan, titled "OPERATION PLIERS" was authored by CIA Officer Michael Middleton Steere and was addressed to CIA Director General Michael Hayden in Washington.

I looked at the memo on the side and did you see what Chavez is doing for those people. 36 hour work weeks, wow and the the other stuff, read the entire memo on the right side of the page. Since they don't like us and Bush, maybe when he gets out of office they will love us.

Looks like a deal to promote chavez. If not then we are really sloppy. I thin as others that it is him freakin. He has already said this, but I have heard he lets terrorist train there and 1 in 7 caught at the southern border are form terror sponsoring nations 9out of 800,000 caught in 05, and for every one caught, 5 get by for 4 million)*.

No telling. But good question and a star. take care.

Let me get this straight. You are attributing a newsroom production error to a covert plan by the CIA to incite someone to assassissinate Hugo Chavez? OK. I just wanted to be clear. That's quite the imagination you have.

Can you do something for me? Promise me that when the CIA doesn't execute this supposed plan in the next few days that you'll stop thinking so critically about the world.

Seeing as how Chavez now controls all the news coming out of Venezuela I'd say it's BS.The man suffers from advanced paranoia.

what's even scarier is the plot to destabilize the United States...look around you folks, our currency value is diminishing, we are distrusted and hated by many, many countries in the world, we are trillions upon trillions in debt and getting more and more dependent on China for goods..Something wrong with this whole picture,,Why are we not the Super Power we once were???

in the zeitgeist movie. http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com
they talk about how the U.S. plans to put bases in iraq and take the oil. unite several nations in a sort of fascist type state, and assasinate chavez. i am not at all surprised. when people are leaders, and stand up against the grain, they are often assasination. assasinated for being leaders and not followers.

It makes since we can't invade them for no apparent reason, the CIA (just an arm of the international bankers) have a plot to assassinate. It's all a part of the world order to take over the world's oil resources.
