how close to 2 do we have to take x so that 5x+3 is within distance of .025 from 13?

um. how do you figure that out? thanks

f(x) = 5x + 3

Use the slope. x needs to be within:

.025/5 = .005

of 2 so that f(x) is within .025 of 13.

if x=2.005
5(2.005)+3=13.025

So 2.005, I believe.
