In my opinion its Tom Brady his win loss record and his all-time passer rating speak for him. I'm pretty sure a qb rating of 92.8 is the highest by anyone. Best running back of all-time. Going by pure skill I have to take Jim Brown or Barry Sanders. Going by skill and long jevity i take Walter Payton or Emmit Smith. I find it hard to pick just one running back.

Steve Young has the highest QB rating of all time. I think Tom Brady is a top 10 QB, but the best of all time is Johnny Unitas, he dominated the passing game when the rules were against passing. He demolished the record book, like jerry rice did to todays reciving records. Its to bad so many have caught up to the stats of Unitas

The best runningback of all time is Jim Brown. in just 106 games he has over 12,000 rushing yards. He was the only runningback in NFL history to average over 100 yards per game. Its just amazing what he did in only 9 seasons.

That is a tough one. Here are some best quarterbacks: Steve Young because he has a good receiver name Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman because he has a good running back name Emmit Smith. I have more, Joe Montana, Brett Favre, Steve Mcnair, Peyton Manning, John Elway, Joe Namath, Phil Simms, and other quarterbacks from the 70's, 60's and 80's. The best running back of all time is Jim Brown. Their are good running backs in the past. Barry Sanders, Mr. Brown, Emmit Smith, The Fridge Perry, Hershal walker, marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett, O.J. Simpson, and other running backs too. The best quarterback of all time is John Elway. That is my opinion. Jared Out

Joe Montana was the bestg Qb ever. He did not have the best arm strength, but his accuracy and leadership made up for it, and he won all those titles without ever having a great running game. Roger Craig was allright, but no where near great. Jerry Rice was definitely an asset, but so was Montana to Rice.

Walter Payton was the best running back that I can remember, he did everything ran the ball, caught the ball, blocked and even could pass. He was quick and powerful, and a great quiet leader. The '85 bears would have been good without Payton, because of that D, but on offense he was the whole team, Jim Mcmahon was only any good because of the threat of Payton running the ball.

I thought this was going to be a serious question, but since you picked Tom Brady I can see you're just playing around. I'll be serious.

The best quarterback of all time is Joe Montana. Before Joe Montana, the quarterback position was DEFINED by Johnny Unitas, but Montana topped him with his incredible finesse, guts, and leadership ability, not to mention his passing acumen. Peyton Manning has a serious shot at besting Montana. He is probably the best pure passer and the smartest QB ever - it's his intelligence and incredible understanding of the game which place him above Marino.

If I could have one running back from history for my team, I'd want Gale Sayers.

Steve Young has the highest career rating with 96.8.

But you can't compare QBs from different eras only by numbers. Johnny Unitas was the best ever.

Jim Brown was the best RB, 5.3 career yards per carry in a team where the passing game was inexistent and opposing defenses knew he would carry the ball.

That's a loaded question there is no one great QB there are many. You can make arguments for Tom Brady and you would have a valid argument. Then as a die hard 49 ers fan I would bring up Joe Montana who won 4 super bowls. The Pittsburg fans could bring up Terry Bradshaw who won 3 and so on.

I would have to say Joe Montana, and I'm not even a SF fan at all.

Honerable Mention would be Troy Aikman, Tom Brady and John Elway.
