No, I always had to cover one because I had forceful letdown. The breast that my babies didn't nurse on would actually squirt a few feet if I didn't cover it with something (sorry-TMI). It's fine!

Its not really bad but you want your nipple to be clean for your baby to eat from. Just make sure your hands are washed and clean. You carry allot of germs on your hands. Also you don't want to get an infection in one of the milk ducts. Get nursing pads from the store. If you use nursing pads when you leak its going to get soaked up just like a pad for your period works, then you don't have to worry about weather you are leaking or not. You can use them with your regular bra, but i would advise getting a nursing bra. Nursing bras make it easier to nurse, you can unlatch the side your using and don't have to be pulling down your whole bra or stretching it out or anything. Plus it gives your breast support all around, so if your laying down your breast is still being supported which is a good thing because of the extra weight from being full of milk.

Nope, that's what pads are for. Want to save the milk for baby, so that's fine. Usually the leaking stops after you and your son get more attuned to each other and the whole nursing thing.

I don't think so. This may sound crazy, but if you are leaking a lot, you might want to try saving the milk that is leaking into a container, if you are able to do this. You may be surprised to find out how much milk is actually leaking out that you could save & freeze to use later for your baby.

Not really but you might want to just hold a face cloth/diaper or something similar on it instead... only because putting pressure on it MAY cause more leaking.
Does this happen even if the unused breast is in a cup?
