I would like to be able to assume that people are generally good. However, with all the wars and terrible things that have happened throughout history, it is hard to believe. It is always safer and easier to assume that people are bad, but if you believe this, you will never be able to trust anyone. I believe that everybody is equivocal. We all have unique personalities and character traits that make up what kind of people we are. Everyone has good qualities and bad qualities. Some people are better and some people are worse, but no one is perfect and no one is all bad. Kindness and caring can cause people to do good things but everyone can become corrupt and do bad things. Knowing this, we can decide for ourselves whether people are generally good or bad.
