A promise ring can either be from a girl or boys parents to the kid, promising they will stay virgins until they're married
or, it can be like a ring, usually from a boy to a girl who are dating, but are too young for engagement or marriage. Or it can be like when a boy gives his girlfriend his highschool ring, as a sign that they are dating exclusively.

A promise ring is like a pre-engagement ring. The guy who gives it to you means that he will love you forever and will marry you as soon as he can. Where as an engagement ring is definite and you can start planning the wedding.

A promise Ring is more for younger couples.! You know cause they can't get married at that age and stuff. But if you see older couples with them, it just means they don't wanna get married but they will be together for as long as they plan to.! Wait well I guess their isn;t a difference. Hahahah wow :)

It means you're too cheap to pony up the dough for the real thing - all it does is say that "SOMEDAY, I will EVENTUALLY give you an Engagement Ring" ;););););)

a promise ring means wut it says the person who gives it to u promises certain thingz and by givin it too u who will not break his or her promise.....an enagaement ring is a ring that is given to u wen a person wants to spend the rest of their life with u
