i have 2 sword tail one male and female they are both orange.the thing is that on my female i dont see a black gravid spot and she is kinda fat. can you see the gravid spot or they dont have one

It's not written in stone that the gravid spot has to be black

it can have any color
on orange swords it will be orange
on platies it will be orange to reddish
it all depends in what position the fry is in, you will either see their body color or the eyes

My female orange swords all have the dark gravid spot, although one of them will look pretty empty on occasion , like she gave birth yet I have no babies....

I guess somebody had sushi during the night...

Swordtails don't seem to get that really dark look that guppies will.

they don't need to have one, if she's fat, u might be feeding her too much, or she's just naturally fat
